Jimpa

Hannah travels to Amsterdam
with her teenage child to reconnect with her father, a gay academic known as
“Jimpa.” What begins as a family reunion shifts when her child expresses the
desire to stay with him, just as Jimpa’s health begins to decline. Amid generational
tensions, identity, and memory, the family is forced to confront the stories
they have told about themselves. With warmth, humor, and a deeply human
perspective, the film offers an intimate portrait of the complexities of love
and family. Directed by Sophie Hyde and starring Olivia Colman and John
Lithgow, the film was selected at Sundance, Rotterdam, Frameline, and NewFest.
DramaPT1H53MNR2026-05-21Aud Mason-Hyde
